JAWAHARLAL NEHRU PORT AUTHORITY HOSPITAL:
Jawaharlal Nehru Port Hospital was commissioned in Feb. 1992 with only outdoor facility. Subsequently Indoor facilities along with labour room, operation theatre were also introduced in July 1993. During this period a total number of 28 beds were used for indoor facility / healthcare services including three beds for intensive care unit. On 26th January 1996 hospital increased its indoor bed strength to 50 with 4 beds for HDU.
Hospital has clinical services, diagnostic and therapeutic services and general administration wing.
OPD services:
Presently following Out Patient Services are provided at JNPT Hospital,
1. General consultation
2. Internal Medicine
3. General Surgery
4. Pediatrics
5. Dental Surgery
There are visiting consultants in other specialties such as Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology etc
AYUSH Services
In addition to above, Ayurvedic and Homepathic OPD is also conducted by visiting AYUSH consultants
Accident & Emergency:
All types of emergencies including Medico-legal cases are handled by the duty Medical Officer who gives first aid treatment and then refer to the consultants or in-house specialist for further line of treatment. JNPA has a tie up to run a trauma centre for traumatic injuries.
In Patient Department:
The Hospital has 50 patient bed facilities for its own employees and their dependent, all general acute as well as chronic elements are treated in under supervision of concerned specialists. Hospital also extends its medical facilities to other residents of the township on payment basis. All necessary investigations, required drugs, disposables and food facilities are made available to indoor patients.
Operation Theatre:
Hospital has a well-equipped operation theatre situated on the first floor with separate recovery room. There is also a minor operation theatre where all minor operative procedure are carried out.
Diagnostics
1. X-Ray facilities are made available by 500 MA X-ray machine for all ambulatory patients and by 60 MA portable X-ray machines for bed ridden patients and post-operative patients.
2. Pathology Laboratory: All routine Urine, blood and serum chemistry, Stool, semen analysis, sputum investigations, are carried out under the supervision of qualified pathologist. Culture and sensitivity test are also carried out at existing pathology Laboratory. Still all investigations in existing Pathology Laboratory are carried out manual method.

The Hospital facility is well supported by pharmacy, Housekeeping services, Ambulance services and IT support etc.
Community and Social services:
JNPA hospital has been regularly conducting awareness and diagnostic and therapeutic activities for the local community including JNPA-ICDS camps for malnourished and mentally challenged individuals and monthly immunization and well-baby clinics. JNPA Hospital played a major role in the COVID pandemic when hundreds of COVID patients were successfully managed as the hospital was converted into a DCHC.
Concession Agreement between JNPA and Dr. Namjoshi Hospital for Upgradation of existing JNPA Hospital into a 100 bed Multi-Speciality Hospital through Public Private Partnership (PPP) was signed on the 9th of September 2024 by the Chairman JNPA and Dr Deepak Namjoshi,Dr. Masuuma Namjoshi and Mr Kiran Shah in the presence of Heads of departments of JNPA, representatives from JNPA Hospital and representatives from Dr Namjoshi Hospital team.
